Industrial thermal energy and waste heat recovery — hero scene

Waste Heat Recovery Platform

WasteHeatHub™

Turn industrial waste heat into a stable, reliable, and price-predictable energy source.

WasteHeatHub™ captures high-temperature waste heat from industrial processes, stores it long-term with HTTES and TCES technologies, and delivers heat as a service (HaaS) for district heating and industrial processes.

Industrial heat and energy infrastructure in context

Waste heat is an overlooked energy source.

Roughly 40–50% of energy in industrial processes is lost as waste heat. It often remains unused while end users face high and volatile delivered-heat prices.

Heat-as-a-Service

Customers do not buy equipment. They buy delivered useful heat as a service. WasteHeatHub™ finances, builds, and operates the full waste-heat capture and thermal storage system, while the customer receives contracted heat volume (MWh) at an agreed price and service level.

Technology

WasteHeatHub™ combines two complementary technologies for industrial thermal energy storage.

HTTES — Hybrid High-Temperature Thermal Energy Storage

  • Validated technology platform
  • Operational pilots in Italy
  • Upgraded for high-temperature industrial waste heat capture
  • Suitable for integration with district heating and industrial processes

TCES — Thermochemical Energy Storage

  • Advanced solution for seasonal and long-duration storage
  • High energy density with near-zero passive losses (<1% per year)
  • Technology Readiness Level: TRL6
  • Prototype validated in relevant operational environment

Together they enable time-shifting heat use from hours to multiple months with minimal losses.

From waste heat to contracted heat supply

One integrated chain: capture at source, time-shift with storage, and deliver heat under contract.

01

Capture at source

Recover high-grade waste heat without disrupting production processes.

02

Store & time-shift

High-temperature storage and TCES extend heat availability from hours to multiple months with very low passive losses.

03

Deliver as a service

Predictable and reliable heat supply: WasteHeatHub™ takes financing, construction, and operations, while the customer receives heat under contract.
